From the series The Heroine Enters the Dark Forest
This series of paintings describes the coastal forest in which I lived during the fall and winter of 2019/2020. In stories, and in my life, the forest is a bit of a scary place to enter, a place to journey through like a trial on a quest, but also a place of hidden refuges, exquisite beauty, and strange and wonderful characters.
